Privacy policy.
Plain language. The short version: we use your email to send Cascade Fairway. That's it.
What we collect
When you subscribe to Cascade Fairway or send a note through the contact form, we collect the information you provide directly: your name (if given), your email address, and whatever you write in the message field. We do not collect anything you do not explicitly provide.
The site uses standard server logging maintained by our hosting provider (Hostinger) which records anonymized request information for security and abuse-prevention purposes. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which curated pieces resonate with readers and which source publications drive the most click-throughs — but only after you've accepted cookie consent via the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline consent, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics is never loaded. We do not use behavioral tracking pixels or advertising cookies on Cascade Fairway.
How we use it
Email addresses provided through the subscribe form are used solely to send the Cascade Fairway quarterly issue. We do not share, sell, rent, or license this list to third parties. We do not run advertising in the issue, and we do not allow advertisers to access the list.
Information sent through the contact form is used to respond to the inquiry. If your message touches on an editorial matter, we may use the information to follow up on the topic — but we will not publish your name, message, or any identifying detail without your explicit permission.
What we use to deliver
Form submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party service that handles form delivery. Formspree's own privacy practices are governed by their terms; review them at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Google Analytics 4 collects anonymized page-view and engagement data, but only if you accept cookie consent. Anonymized IP. No advertising data shared. Google's privacy policy.
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Hostinger maintains its own server-level logging governed by its privacy practices.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from Cascade Fairway at any time using the unsubscribe link in any issue. You can request that we delete your email and any associated data by writing to us through the contact form. We will confirm deletion within seven days.
Residents of California, Washington, and the European Economic Area have additional rights under their local privacy laws (CCPA, MHMDA, GDPR). To exercise any of these rights, please use the contact form. We comply with all applicable requests.
Children
Cascade Fairway is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it.
